Dance Classes

Beginners

Beginner dancers can join in on the most enjoyable way to exercise and socialise, through learning to dance Ballroom and Latin American over 8 weeks. Courses run for 8 weeks per term.

Intermediates
Following on from the beginner courses these classes create challenging routines and begin to explore in depth how to dance. You don’t require a partner to attend these classes.

Advanced
Following on from the intermediates courses these classes create challenging routines and begin to explore in depth how to dance. You don’t require a partner to attend these classes.

Dance – Private Lessons

“Couples and individuals take private lessons for many different reasons. A one to one teaching environment is ideal for achieving a higher level of technique, understanding of dance, and particularly for better styling and feeling in your dancing. You may want to learn only one specific dance, perhaps for a special occasion. In a private lesson we will focus on the details you want to learn.

Private lessons can also offer you the chance to polish what you have learned in the group classes and move a few steps ahead.

Wedding Dance Lessons

Let us help make your wedding dance to be in perfect harmony. No dancing experience required. The lessons are easy, fun and private.

The best thing about Wedding Lessons is that they are fun and will provide you with the dance routine and confidence to make that first dance as husband and wife something to remember. It will certainly amaze and impress your friends and family. You can dance to the music of your choice or we can help you select something. It could be a Foxtrot, Tango or traditional Bridal Waltz.

Ballroom Dance and Latin Dance Lessons

Michael, Dawn and Gail are experienced teachers at Supreme Dance, located in Wellington and Tawa respectively. They use their knowledge and passion for what they do to inspire students to learn new skills and dances. They cover many styles under the ballroom and Latin genres. Ballroom dance lesson covers the foxtrot, quickstep, VW, waltz and tango. Latin American dances cover cha cha, rumba, samba, Paso and jive.
